The Vervain Collective, a plant-based apothecary co-owned by naturopathic physician Nicole Pierce, NMD, and plant-loving lawyer Kelsey Jae, JD/MPP, has opened at 3308 West Chinden Boulevard, in Garden City, as a space for the community to explore plant-based health care.
The welcoming shop features medicinal and aromatic herbs and teas, tinctures, powders, skincare, supplements, accessories, cards, candles, gifts, classes, consultations and more. Practitioners are invited to teach classes in the classroom or use the consultation room to meet with patients and clients. Rates for the consultation room vary depending on the number of hours per week reserved. The classroom costs $25 plus 3 percent of the admission fee, which is set by the teacher.
Jae, who is also the founder of Law for Conscious Leadership, invites, “The Vervain Collective was formed to support the natural health community—the professionals, the health-conscious and the curious; the growers, the makers, and the dabblers. We welcome people at all points in their journeys, and we are so grateful to be open and so eager to continue working to strengthen this community. Please join us!”
The Science & Art of Herbalism certification course begins on January 18, and fees are $750 for the full, 10-month course or $100 per month on a drop-in basis.
The Vervain Collective is open Tues.-Sun., with 20 or more hours of classroom programming per month. For more information, call 208-274-3274, email Hello@TheVervainCollective.com or visit http://TheVervainCollective.com January 2020
