Certified Asian Bodywork Therapist and NAET practitioner Emily Yuen, of Boise Natural Health Clinic (BNHC), is offering Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) at the Boise clinic.
EFT is a form of psychological acupressure. It is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture. The client taps specific meridian points on the head and chest with their fingertips, while being guided through discussing their specific problems. After expressing and releasing their emotions, the client taps in positive affirmations to recalibrate how they would like their brain to respond.
In two or three private sessions, clients learn the basics of tapping these points to release and reprogram physical and emotional pain. These techniques are empowering and can be used at home to help manage stress or anxiety, to cope with grief or to release physical pain. Clients can schedule private sessions to deal with multi-layered, deeper issues that they need support navigating through.
Yuen has been providing Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 18 years. Many years ago, she was impressed by the effectiveness of EFT for its rapid benefits in helping people deal with trauma, stress, illness, guilt, anxiety, grief and pain. She was so inspired that she is currently working on her master’s degree in social work in order to offer holistic counseling.
Yuen is available at BNHC’s monthly open house, held one Wednesday a month, to discuss EFT and the other services she offers.
